Register at Studentbo
The first thing you must do is to register and create an account. The registration is free of charge and allows you access to your own user page (Mitt sökande). At Mitt sökande you can see available accommodations and which accommodations you have registered your interest in. You have to update your account and your interest form every 12 months, or you will lose your queue points.
Apply for accommodation
To apply for accommodation, you must send your letter of admission to info@studentbo.se. When we have received the letter of admission and registered the information to your account, we will notify you by e-mail that you can start to apply for accommodation at our website. You can apply for ten different accommodations at the same time.
Accepted to the autumn term
Have you been accepted to LiU for the autumn term? Send an email to info@studentbo.se with your letter of admission and information of what accommodation you are looking for. We will get back to you how to get suitable accommodation. Do not wait to contact us – during April and May we can prioritize to help you.
Housing guarantee
The housing guarantee applies to newly admitted students for the autumn term at Linköping University Campus Norrköping. The guarantee means that applicants who meet the requirements will be offered to sign a rental agreement for an accommodation with a move-in date no later than September 1.
Criteria for housing guarantee:
- You are a new student and have been admitted to at least two semesters at Linköping University, Campus Norrköping.
- You currently live at least 60 minutes commuting distance from Norrköping Resecentrum (Central Station).
- You need to be an active applicant and apply for available student accommodation after you have received your admission letter. Applicants after July 31 are not included in the housing guarantee.
- If you have been offered an accommodation, but have declined, or do not answer within the stated response time, you are no longer covered by the housing guarantee.
- Comply with Studentbo’s other rental rules.
Who can apply for accommodation?
To the autumn term we prioritize students accepted to a course or programme (studying for at least two semesters) on Campus Norrköping. We also accept PhD-students at Campus Norrköping.
Are you only studying for one semester? We have an arrangement with the University, please contact LiU Housing for help. The University rents accommodation from us for this reason. LiU arranges these rental agreements.
How to pay the rent
You always pay the rent in advance. The rent is paid at the end of each month. Studentbo notifies the rental invoice each month via e-mail.
If you don’t have a Swedish bank and need to pay the rent with an international transaction, we will send you information how to make the payment with IBAN. Once in Sweden, we prefer if you can pay the rent in accordance with the rental invoice. The rent can be paid with the rental invoice via, for example, ChangeGroup at Drottninggatan 66 or Forex Bank at Drottninggatan 44.
We do not handle cash or card payments directly to Studentbo via our visitor office.
